The Staff at Kraus Farms offer a fun and educational program teaching students about horses in a fun environment. Our instructors stress safety, horsemanship, and enjoyment as the most important elements of the camp. In addition to riding, your child will learn how to groom, saddle, bathe, and care for a horse. When the children are not in the barn they are participating in games, crafts and educational presentations. Kraus Farms summer and holiday camps are offered on days that schools are not in session. We offer a convenient, fun, educational program with a day of riding and other horse related activities.

All of our camp registration has moved COMPLETELY ONLINE! To register your child for a camp please complete and submit the online registration form, then reserve your child’s spot for camp with the purchase of an online booking.

Please Note: All campers are requested to wear long pants and boots or shoes with at least a 1″ heel. Sandals are not allowed for any reason. Helmets are Mandatory! Campers are required to wear helmets during every camp session at Kraus Farms. They may bring their own equestrian helmets from home or they may borrow a helmet that is provided by Kraus Farms. A sack lunch is required for each camper and we will have an hour lunch break in between their equestrian activities. A microwave and refrigerator are available in the camp classroom. Please dress them for the weather they will be outside for extended periods of time.

MOMMY AND ME CAMP

This camp is designed for little kids (ages 3 & 4) who are not quite ready to come to camp on their own. It is a great way for you and your child to experience pony camp together. You both will learn about ponies and do fun things including story time, a simple craft, brushing the ponies and playing games with the miniature horses.

LITTLE RANCHERS CAMP

Little Ranchers Camp offers children between the ages of 6 and 10 a hands-on week with mother nature and farm critters. Campers will have hands on farming experiences such as being introduced to farm animals, gardening, learning about plants, and collecting eggs daily. Campers will also get the opportunity to ride horses 3 of the DAYS during the week of Little Ranchers Camp!

SUMMER CAMPS

Our staff of instructor’s stress safety, horsemanship and fun in English and Western disciplines. In addition to horseback riding, each camper will learn how to groom, saddle, bathe, and care for a horse. Camps are available for various ages, skill levels, and disciplines. There are even Mini Buckaroo Camps for ages 5-6!

MINI BUCKAROO CAMP

This camp is designed for younger kids (ages 5 & 6) and is held Monday through Thursday, unless otherwise noted. No previous experience required! Learn the fundamentals of becoming an equestrian, and learn to lead, groom, and tack a horse using our very own small herd of miniature horses. Campers will also receive a pony ride on a full size horse that will be led by their instructor each day!
