Western Horsemanship (Full Day, 5 days)

Western Horsemanship (Western Advance Camp: Level 2)  5-day western horse camp for ages 11-14. Monday- Friday.

Requirements: Campers must be between the ages 11-14. If you are younger than the required age but have previous horse experience, please contact the office to inquire about eligibility. Be confident at a walk, trot and canter.  Must either be a current intermediate level western rider at Kraus Farms or previously attended 1-2 weeks of Wrangler Camp.

**What to bring**

-water bottle, sack lunch, sunscreen, towel (for sitting on the hay), on wednesday a swimsuit/towel/water shoes for wetwednesday, dollar bills for snack vending machine if desired, an equestrian certified helmet (if you do not have one a helmet will be provided to borrow), closed toed shoes (preferably boots with a heel)

Optional Aftercare

Optional aftercare available from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm for additional $15.00 per child per day. $15 fee per day is automatically multiplied by the quantity of campers booked. Check boxes for days needed.

Refund/Change Policy *

Camps are non-refundable after March 15, 2023. A change fee of $75.00 will apply to any order changes made before or after March 15th.

Western Horsemanship (Western Advance Camp: Level 2) 5-day western horse camp for ages 11-14. Monday- Friday.

Be confident at a walk, trot and canter.  Must either be a current intermediate level western rider at Kraus Farms or previously attended 1-2 weeks of Wrangler Camp. Lesson students from outside of Kraus Farms are also welcome as long as they can meet the above requirements! ** What to bring is in the description on the bottom of the page**

  • Goals:
    • Campers will learn training techniques on the ground.
    • Increase equestrian techniques in showmanship, horsemanship under saddle, trail class, advance riding maneuvers and western pattern work.
    • Will gain knowledge about the steps to buying a horse.
    • The knowledge to bathe a horse.
    • The ability to tack and bridle their horses independently by the second day of camp.

Camp Run Time: 8:00am- 3:00pm. Available July 21 – 25.
Drop Off Between: 7:30am- 8:00am
Pick Up Between: 3:00pm- 3:30pm
