Description
Grand Prix (English Advance Camp: Level 2)* 5-day horse riding camp for ages 7-14. Monday – Friday.
Requirements: Camper must be able to walk, trot (posting & sitting), and canter confidently. Must be able to execute a cross-rail course, can identify the proper diagonals while posting, can differentiate between a horse’s proper leads at the canter, and can execute simple lead changes. Must either be a current intermediate level english rider in lessons at Kraus Farms, this means you have begun to trot and canter over cross-rails in your lessons. If you are unsure if you qualify for this camp please ask your instructor. If you are not currently in our lesson program you must have completed at least 1-2 weeks of Hunter Hounds camp to be eligible to move up to Grand Prix. * *Note: This year’s Grand Prix session will be a blended session and is also open to students looking to take Hunter Hounds camp.

- Campers will begin to learn about the different lead changes: Simple and Flying Lead Changes.
- Master executing a 13”- 14” or 2’ vertical fences and courses to build confidence for the next level of jumps which is 2’ vertical fences.
- The knowledge to bathe a horse.
- The ability to tack and bridle their horses independently by the second day of the camp week.
Camp Run Time: 8:00am- 3:00pm.
Drop Off Between: 7:30am- 8:00am
Pick Up Between: 3:00pm- 3:30pm
